Die Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft e.V., Köln, is a non-profit-organisation dedicated to international advanced training and human resource development. It organises practical training, exchange and foreign-language programmes worldwide within a network of domestic and foreign partners.
The non-profit association CIEE (COUNCIL on International Educational Exchange) Germany offers students the opportunity to work legally in either study-related internships (the Internship Programme) or in summer jobs (Work & Travel-Programme) in the USA and Canada, as well as in Europe and Australia.
The ZAV's international department arranges jobs and internships abroad. The programme's co-operation partners range from business and tourism companies such as the Walt Disney World Corporation in Florida to the Finnish Labour Administration. Its services are aimed at students, and other young people seeking job experience abroad.

DAAD travel allowance
Travel allowances are granted to German students of all subjects (except medicine) for internships overseas on Iceland, Malta, Cyprus and in Turkey. These allowances are attached to certain conditions, and you are not allowed to have applied for BAföG abroad.
DAAD short-term scholarship
The internship abroad must be either a compulsory internship, or an internship which is urgently recommended by the student's department. This internship lasts maximum 3 month.
