A user name is required to logon to computers and to use the ODi system. It is truncated to 8 characters.

A password provides security to your account. Therefore you should not share your password with anyone. The staff of the Computer Services Department will never ask you for your password.
Do not choose a simple password that might be easy for others to guess.
You choose your password when you activate your account for the first time.

Your email address consists of your user name and @hs-coburg.de.
When you initially activate your account you will also receive your email address.
You can read your emails using the ODi system [Webmail]; please read your emails regularly.
Ablaufdatum / Löschung des Benutzerkontos
Es gibt zwei Phasen der Abmeldung:
- Zum Ende Ihres letzten Semesters (14.03 oder 30.09) wird Ihr Benutzerkonto für alle Dienste (außer eMail) deaktiviert.
- Frühestens 6 Monate danach werden alle Daten (auch das eMailkonto) gelöscht. In dieser Zeit kann Ihr Benutzerkonto (auf Anfrage) zur Datensicherung kurzzeitig wieder aktiviert werden.
Bitte sorgen Sie rechtzeitig vor Studienende für die Sicherung Ihrer Daten und legen Sie sich ein privates Mailkonto an.
