Starting in winter semester 2006/07, the old student ID cards in paper form will be replaced by the new multi-function chip cards.

The new ID card is your

student ID card with picture
library card
electronic money card for the student cafeteria and snack bar, the library, vending machines, copiers, computer printers, and in the stores on the main campus and in the Hofbrauhaus

Good to know …

The student ID card costs €5. This fee must be paid during enrollment at the Registrar’s Office.
After you enroll you will be photographed.
You will receive your ID card on the day you enroll during the orientation session in the Computer Services Department.
When you receive the card it becomes your property and remains so during your entire time at the university.
At the beginning of every semester you can revalidate your ID card for new semester using the computer outside the Computer Services Department.

Certification of Enrollment

How do I get a certification of enrollment now?

Using ODi (Online Services). Two new features are:

Online-Bescheinigungen (online certificates of enrollment)
Online-Rückmeldung (online continued enrollment for next semeter)

To use these features – and to use most of the features offered by ODi – you must log on.

To do this you must have a computer ID, which you will receive during the orientation session.

Both of these points will be explained in the orientation session.
