The Master of Engineering program is offered in cooperation with University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), China. USST is a well established and full-fledged multidisciplinary university committed to training of professionally competent personnel in the fields of Engineering, Management, Commerce, Arts, Sciences and Medicine. The university consists of 16 colleges, 2 departments, 1 centre and 27 research institutes and about 12 undergraduate and 1,800 students. The university has full time teaching staff of 1,098, among them, 415 have senior technical and professional titles with 111 of professors and 282 of associate professors, including 50 Ph.D advisors, 280 master advisors, 2 members of Evaluation Committee of the National Natural Sciences Foundation, 6 specialists credited with outstanding state level contributions, among others.  

USST has long been expanding its activities of international academic exchanges, successfully establishing inter-university relationship with about 10 universities in Germany, America, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Russia, and Hong Kong. Based on this long cooperation, it has established 13 joint international schools with foreign universities including New York Syracuse University (America), New York Queen College (America), University of Central Lancashire (Britain), Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Sloan School of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (America) and others.

Our partner college

The responsible college for Master in Engineering is College of Optical and Electric Information Engineering. The college was established in 1958. In June of 1998, it was granted by the State Council Degree Conferring Committee the right to confer the first rate discipline (optical engineering) Ph.D. degree. It also has the right to provide the second rate discipline Ph.D. degree in the fields of Measuring Technology and Instrumentation. Now, it has 6 research institutes and 1 academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 6 Ph.D. advisors, 40 professors and associate professors. It provides 7 Master programs in the fields of Measuring Technology and Instrumentation, Precision Instrumentation, Optical Engineering, Testing Technology and Automation, Control Theory and Engineering, Mode Identifying Technology as well as Signal and Information Process. It offers currently five bachelor specialties: Measuring Technology and Instrumentation, Electronic Information Engineering, Optical Information Science and Technology, Communication Engineering, Photoelectric Information Engineering.

At the Campus of USST there are dormitories and a lot of cafeterías where you can have delicious chinese meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for a very reasonable price (you can have a meal for 0,50 Euros).
