Admission Requirements

The potential applicants are required to have at least a Bachelor degree with a “good” or equivalent final grade. The discipline of the first degree can be from a wide range of corresponding undergraduate study programs in the field of engineering and natural science.

The proficiency in English is required by obtaining a relevant mark on one of the following tests: Unicert II, TOEFL 550, CBTOEFL 213, IELTS 6.0 or proven equivalent knowledge. Professional practical experience on the graduate level of not less than one year is another undispensable requirement. Exemptions are possible in special cases, but they will have to fulfil this requirement before graduating from the master program. In this case they will have to submit a concept how they are planning to arrange it.

The successful international applicants will be invited for an interview in order to assess their professional and personal qualifications with respect to this transnational program, either locally in Coburg or by telephone or other telecomunication devices.

Deadline for winter semester is for German students August 31 and for foreign students July 31, because they will need the time for visa processing. For winter semester all students should apply until November 15, because the summer semester in Shanghai starts in February or March depending on the Chinese spring festival.
