The access authorisation to chargeable databases (not available in internet without costs) takes place over the IP-adress of the used computer. Therefore the IP-adressrange is deposited at the provider of the database.

For this reason no special registration to the university network is necessary to gain access to the databases, e-journals and e-books. This is possible from every web-enabled computer in the university or every laptop that has connection to the university network via W-LAN viz. also in the library, cafeteria or where else W-LAN is available.

If you want to gain access from outside of the university (with your own internet access at home) to our databases, the access has to take place over the VPN-server of the university.

After Clicking on the LOGIN-Button  you make a contact to the VPN-server and  you have to insert the FH-identification to login at VPN-server. The webadress in the adress bar starts now with https://vpn-gate.fh-coburg.de/... . Now with this window you choose the databaselink.
