Module study
What is a modular study program?
With modular studies, those interested in continuing education can enrol for individual modules from a degree program. This enables you to:
- Gradual and flexible entry into a degree program
- to acquire professionally relevant academic skills alongside your job without having to attend a full degree course with a corresponding standard period of study.
As the modules are taken from an existing degree program, you automatically acquire the corresponding number of credit points upon successful completion of the module examination. These are generally recognized as a partial qualification when taking up a full degree course at a later date.

Below you will find the modules that will be offered in the summer semester 2026.

Further information

Duration and fees of a modular study program
The module course usually lasts one semester. The degree program usually begins in the summer semester (March 15) or winter semester (October 1).
Module students are properly enrolled students. They must pay the semester fee in full and receive a Coburg University of Applied Sciences student ID card. This also allows you to use the semester ticket, for example.
In continuing education courses, i.e. those subject to fees, fees are charged in addition to the semester fee. They are calculated on the basis of the credit points (ECTS) to be achieved in the module.
Admission requirements
The admission requirements of the degree programs in which the module is offered apply to the modules. These can be found on the page of the respective degree program: To the overview of courses offered at Coburg University of Applied Sciences
Anyone wishing to attend a module from a Master's degree program must have a first academic degree.
If you have a foreign university entrance qualification, please find out about recognition in good time. You can find information on this on the pages for international applicants.
