Starting your studies
Into the first semester - Let's start
Have you successfully enrolled at Coburg University of Applied Sciences? Then you are now officially a student at Coburg University of Applied Sciences. In order to start your studies well prepared, a few steps are now important:
- Activate your student user account
- Familiarize yourself with our student portal mycampus
- Check the various online services of the university
- Print out your certificate of enrollment
- Get to know the functions of your student ID card and much more.

Dates for first-year students
When do I start? When do I have to be where? We have put together all the important dates for your degree program here so that you don’t miss anything and can get off to the best possible start to your studies at Coburg University of Applied Sciences:
from the end of January:
Dispatch of student ID cards by the Student Affairs Department
February 28 at 11:30 a.m:
For enrolled students in the orientation semester: Online introductory event via MSTeams
March 10-14:
Preliminary math course for all STEM and business degree programs, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in presence (Bachelor and orientation semester)
March 17 at 8:15 a.m:
Official semester opening in the brose auditorium on the Friedrich Streib campus for all new Bachelor’s and Master’s students as well as students in the orientation semester
The President of the University, the Lord Mayor of Coburg and the student representatives will welcome you. We will also get you in the mood for the summer semester with music.
Afterwards: Get to know your fellow students at “study program tables” with snacks and drinks.
March 17 from 9:15 a.m:
Course introductions with information on the individual degree programs / exact dates and rooms to follow.
You will be taken to the course introduction room (“pick-up service”). Students in the orientation semester should use the introduction to their anchor course.

You can find the various offers and current course programs on the mycampus student portal on the pages of our service points and interdisciplinary offers.
You can also play an active role in shaping university life and get involved in the student council or one of the many student initiatives, such as the university choir, the big band at Coburg University of Applied Sciences or cat racing.
