Especially in our technical, natural science and economics courses, you can’t do without math.

To see if you have any gaps or weaknesses in math, take the MaTest. If you have trouble with the problems, we recommend that you sign up for the math prep course.
The preparatory math course is designed for the following degree programs:
- Automation technology and robotics
- Automotive Technology (all three fields of study)
- Civil Engineering (both fields of study)
- Business Administration
- Bioanalytics
- Electrical and Information Technology
- Emerging Technologies
- Energy Technology and Renewable Energy
- Industrial economy
- Computer Science
- Mechanical engineering (all three fields of study)
- Technical physics

- Visual Computing

From the course content
- Basic concepts of mathematical logic and set theory
- Calculating with variables
- Power, root and logarithm calculation
- Linear equations, inequalities and systems of equations
- Quadratic equations
Participation is also possible for interested students from the orientation semester.
The next math pre-course
When: September 21–25, 2026 | 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. each day
Where: The course will be held in person. The exact location will be announced at a later date.
Cost: This year, we are able to offer the math prep course free of charge.
