Entry into the higher semester

Changing universities or course of study in a higher semester

If you have completed coursework from your previous studies (due to a change in degree program or a transfer to a different university), you can apply for a higher semester within the general application deadlines.

  • In addition to the usual documents, please upload the following:
    • Transcript from previous studies
    • Excerpt from the module handbook (overview of content, ECTS credits, and weekly hours per semester)
    • Informal “Application for Recognition of Credits from Previous Studies” (mapping of the credits to be recognized to the modules of the desired degree program)

Based on the application and the submitted proof of academic achievement, the Examination Board will decide on the semester placement.
