Short vita

Kai Hiltmann is a trained precision mechanic, studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart and then worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Microtechnology in Villingen-Schwenningen, HSG-IMIT.
He then worked at the Institute for Micro- and Information Technology in Villingen-Schwenningen, HSG-IMIT.
There he worked on various topics in micromechanics and fluidics and completed his doctorate on switching elements in silicon micromechanics.
In 2009, he took over the teaching area “Design and Product Innovation” from Prof. Dr. H.J. Linde at Coburg University of Applied Sciences.
His focus is on systematic design and problem solving, especially with TRIZ.
