On the taster days you can get to know Coburg University of Applied Sciences and our Bachelor's degree programs – with information about studying, impressions of the campus and contact with professors and students! We offer you a program on site and online.

The taster days take place during the Bavarian/Thuringian Easter vacations.

Please pay attention to the respective detailed programs so that you are in the right place at the right time!

How to organize your taster days

Learn the basics about studying and study orientation before the taster days – because this will help you to better understand everything you learn about your desired degree program during the taster days. We have prepared various videos for you below.

Next, take a look at which Bachelor's degree programs we offer and read the information on the degree program pages.

So, which course or area of study sounds the most exciting? We would recommend taking part in the on-site program, which takes place on Wednesday or Thursday mornings.

Of course, you can also get a taste of other study programs or areas on site on the second morning.

But please note: We have several locations – please note the venue in the programs !

Do you only want to take part in the taster days online? Or get to know other degree programs or areas of study? No problem:

Live online events will take place on both taster days from 4.00 pm: There will be a campus tour, presentations of degree programs or study areas and a consultation hour on the topic of "Registering and studying at Coburg University of Applied Sciences". Of course, you can also ask your questions online! You can easily find the access links in the respective detailed programs.

Procedure for the taster days

09:00 – 09:30 a.m. Welcome
09:30 – 13:00 Program items from the various fields of study, e.g. presentation of the degree programs/study areas with the opportunity to ask questions, get a taste of lectures, lab and campus tours including a tour of the halls of residence
1:00 p.m. Lunch in the cafeteria / BAföG counseling (only at the Friedrich Streib campus)
2:30 p.m. Guided tour of Coburg city center (separate registration by e-mail required)
16:00 – 16:45 Online campus tour
17:00 – 17:45 Online presentation of the degree programs and study areas with the opportunity to ask questions
18:00 – 18:45 Online consultation hour “Registering and studying at Coburg University of Applied Sciences”

Your parents or other people are welcome to accompany you on the taster days. For capacity reasons, a few program items are reserved for prospective students. You can find out what is for whom in the respective detailed programs

City tour

We have organized a city tour for all those who are not yet familiar with Coburg. It starts on Wednesday, 08.04.2026, as well as on Thursday, 09.04.2026, both at 14:30 in Coburg city center. The number of places is limited. If you would like to register for the city tour, please send an email to studienberatung@hs-coburg.de. Please let us know how many people you would like to join the tour with.

Where do the taster days take place?

Catering

Our guests can pay with cash in the canteen and cafeteria on the taster days (no card payment possible).
