Your semester schedule

The Master's program is designed as a part-time course and is based on a clear structure: the semester comprises three attendance phases lasting several days (kick-off, triple and final), which take place from Thursday to Saturday at the Lucas Cranach Campus in Kronach. There are also twelve additional online sessions, each on Fridays from 14:00-18:00.

You will therefore work throughout the semester either on one of our external partners' projects or on your own start-up, largely organizing yourself in the process. During the on-campus phases, you will meet with your fellow students primarily at the Lucas Cranach Campus in Kronach, but also at the project partner's institutions and companies on site if required.

A flow chart shows three semester phases: Kick-Off, Triple, and Final. Each phase comprises three days (Thurs., Fri., Sat.) with activities such as business lectures, project work, online sessions and face-to-face meetings at LCC Kronach. at Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts

FAQs

Do I have to commit to a track at the beginning of my studies?

No, you don't have to. You can start in the intrapreneurship track and switch to the entrepreneurship track later – for example, if you develop your own idea during your studies.

You can also switch back at any time. And don't worry: even if your idea doesn't work out in the end, you'll still have your Master's degree in your pocket.

Do I need an extra application for the Entrepreneurship track?

Yes, at the beginning of the semester you apply with a short video (max. 3 minutes) in which you present your idea and tell us something about your motivation.

You briefly discuss the following:

    • Topic 💡: What is your idea about?
    • Motivation 🎯: What motivates you to work on it?
    • Preparatory work 🛠: Where do you currently stand with your start-up/your start-up project?
    • Outlook 🚀: What would you like to continue working on as part of the Entre Track?

You will receive all information by email in good time before the start of the semester. If you would like to start the Entrepreneurship track in the first semester and have applied late, simply contact us directly.

How does the project work in the intrapreneurship track work?

At the beginning of the semester, you will get to know the projects of our practice partners at the kick-off. You then decide on a project that you will work on together with around 6-8 fellow students – both during the face-to-face sessions and on the online Fridays.

Each team is accompanied by a permanent coach who supports you in team processes and provides methodical input.

What is the workload per week?

The workload varies depending on the phase and project. As the course is organized on a part-time basis, you should expect a predictable mix of face-to-face appointments, online sessions and independent project work. Overall, it is designed in such a way that it can be easily combined with a full-time job.

What do the examination formats look like?

Instead of traditional face-to-face exams at the end of the semester, the focus is on practical formats. These include, for example, project documentation, portfolio examinations, reflections, etc.
